Move in day!
After the 20 hour drive, we made it to the community office two minutes before they closed to pick up our keys. The staff at The Reserve couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Glad to have finally made it. Now it's time to set up beds, get some rest, and start unpacking!

Time to turn in the clown car. This thing would be sliding all over in the rain.

Take a look at our 12 week ultrasound pictures! The baby is getting so big! He was spinning around and kicking the whole time.
Such a cutie!

Time to load up our Pod for our move up to Washington. There are some extremely smart folks out there who come up with this stuff. |

The time has come to tell the family about baby! Since everyone knows how much we love Disneyland, we decided that our announcement would have to be Disney themed. Check out our family announcement pictures.

Happy birthday, Loren! Today we found our apartment at The Reserve! The apartment is in the best area of Vancouver, WA, and the community is fantastic. It was built in 2013, and the community is very dog friendly, has a pool and jacuzzi, a gym, and a movie theater room. The apartment is two bedroom, two baths, and weighs in at 1,006 square feet (a whopping 61 square feet bigger than our house). |

After waking up to a sleeping house, Laura and I went for a walk around the neighborhood in the misty morning, and then went out for breakfast at Fat Dave's, a wonderful breakfast delicatessen. |

Time for Laura to take her first trip up to Portland. Another huge shout out to Darla and Kevin for letting us stay with them AGAIN. They were nice enough to pick us up from the airport and to cook us a welcome dinner at their house.

To break up the stress of moving, house hunting, and parental freak out-ing, Laura was super sweet and took me to Medieval Times for my birthday (been mentioning it for years!). Nothing takes the stress off like paper crowns, dragon soup, and cheering on your favorite knights. |

After learning that I'm going to be a dad and not having a home of our own (last day in the house was August 20, 2015), I started to freak out a little bit. Cue the last minute flight to Portland! We already had a trip planned for August 28th, but since that was after we had to be out of the house, I needed to know if it was actually a good option for our next move. To be honest, I wanted to hate it so it would be easier to just stay put close to family, but as soon as I landed, I knew that it was a great place. |

Our prenatal intake appointment was today! Lots of packets with tons of information, blood tests, and the first of many urine samples. Happy to report that Laura is incredibly healthy, and all tests came back negative (except pregnancy!).

Just two days after we took our home pregnancy tests, we had our appointment to confirm our pregnancy at Kaiser.
While waiting for the results, we had a fantastic breakfast at the Crooked Duck in Long Beach, CA. A celebration breakfast wouldn't be complete without a fancy latte (decaf for Laura) with a duck drawn in the foam.

After hunting for houses all day in the Inland Empire, Temecula, and Murrieta, I came home to find that Laura thought that she might be pregnant. With all of the change going on already with the house, I was convinced that it had to be stress...
Well, two tests and four faint lines later, we found out we we're pregnant!
